Keepin’ Things Real:  Why Trials are Good!

October 30, 2013
If you noticed, the topic of today's blog is not a question, it's a statement. In other words trials are good. But in order for you to have this mindset in the middle of them, you have to begin to see them spiritually and not just naturally. This can be a real challenge for all of us because in the heat of the battle, most of us lose sight of this. In fact, most of us are looking for the fix to our problems so we can get some relief from the stress and move on with life. However, if you want

Keepin’ Things Real:  If Not You - Then WHO?

October 22, 2013
Jena has such a passion to reach the next generation. It is so deep within her, that it is on her mind all the time. She can't help but talk about it, dream about it, work on...she is committed to discipling the generations coming behind us. September 19, 2013
Survey 100 Christians and you might discover that many if not the majority are simply bored in their Christian walk. Now, please know, I'm not sitting in a seat of judgment here, I just wanted to tackle the topic in a quest to answer WHY? For me, this thought started when I read a quote from Major W. Ian Thomas that said - I know of nothing quite so boring as Christianity without Christ. When I read this two thoughts came to mind: First, how many Christians are bored spiritually? The second

Keepin’ Things Real:  The three

September 06, 2013
Get a 100 men and women in a room and ask them to define INTIMACY and you would get a bunch of different answers. Some of this is simply because men and women are different (can I get a good AMEN?) For instance, Jena is an outward processor & I'm an inward processor. She is creative and energetic & I'm logical and strategic. As she says, sometimes I think God gave me Dale to be my "heavenly sandpaper" rubbing on my last nerve while growing me & smoothing off some of my own rough spots all
